I attended the Bean Knitting Event at Jiashan Market this afternoon. I had wanted to attend before I left in June but it was very popular and always booked up. We met up in Melange Oasis and had the back space to ourselves. There were about 10 other people there, a variety of nationalities and we were greeted by Alison who introduced us to the event and handed out some previously started pieces.
We were instructed to knit 20x20cm squares which would get sent to South Africa where they are assembled into blankets for AIDs impacted orphans.
It was a really nice atmosphere and relaxing to knit and chat with
others. I would highly recommend this event ^^ I had previously attended
the Bean event to look after some cats. I like this volunteer group and
hope to attend more events.
